RedditImageReader
This tool monitors subreddit submissions and if there is an image, it passes it to my image reading API (https://api.razbot.xyz/imageread?image_url=
), that uses opencv and terrasect to try and read the text in the image, and adds it to a database to allow the text content of the images to be searched.
Why?
I found that, especially in r/ProgrammerHumor, the titles set by users are often not a good representation of what is in the image (which is fair enough, its not meant to be an informative subreddit) which makes it hard to find a post you remember seeing and forgot to save to send to someone who doesnt care.
